Tushar Dhingra, VP-Sales and Marketing, PVR Cinemas, quits

Tushar Dhingra, Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, PVR Cinemas, has put in his papers. A management graduate from IMT Ghaziabad, Dhingra was with PVR for four years.

Dhingra, 31, was in the hotel operations business for the first four years of his career. Thereafter, he joined the Taj Group of Hotels in Corporate Sales. He then moved to the entertainment industry with Warner Brothers as Branch Manager, where he headed the North Indian operations for two years.

Dhingra then moved to PVR as Marketing Manager and was involved in the distribution and marketing of movies like ‘Chicago’, ‘Rush Hour’, ‘Kill Bill’, and ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’, among others. He then became Head of Programming, PVR Cinemas, and was responsible for film selection, buying, scheduling and distributor relationship.

After two years, Dhingra was entrusted with the responsibility of looking after sales and marketing of the PVR Cinemas, reporting to Ajay Bijli, MD, PVR Cinemas.

Dhingra was unavailable for comments at the time of filing the story.
