Top-level changes at Starcom; Bigger roles for Ravi Kiran, Manish Porwal, Anita Nayyar

Media servicing agency Starcom has seen some top-level changes. Ravi Kiran, MD for west zone in India, has been elevated to be the CEO for South Asia.

Consequently, Manish Porwal, currently the General Manager, takes the role of Executive Director, West. Anita Nayyar, hitherto the ED for North, too, sees a change in designation to be the Managing Director, wherein she will supervise North India, in addition to Pakistan.

Ravi Kiran informed exchange4media that all changes would be with immediate effect.

With these changes, the markets that Ravi Kiran will look after include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. “Right now, there is only India, but we are soon taking the Starcom brand to other markets. There is no priority of which market we are entering first, but Pakistan and Sri Lanka are fairly warm right now and these are the largest markets amongst the other players,” he added.

Nayyar has been the Starcom authority in the Northern region so far and with this change, in addition to this, she will have to oversee the Pakistani clients as well.

As for Porwal, the new responsibilities mean looking after clients in the west zone, which includes markets like Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
