Top level changes at Fox International Channels to accelerate business

Fox International Channels (FIC), in its bid to strengthen its management team in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, is further building up its pan-regional advertising sales capabilities to drive local market growth following a year of good business performance in fiscal 2010.

Simeon Dawes has been made Senior Vice President, Fox One Stop Media (FOSM). The role is based out of Hong Kong office and Dawes will lead FOSM’s network of advertising sales representatives across 10 Asian offices. With 17 years in this industry and having performed roles at advertising agencies, such as McCann Erickson and DDB, Dawes will now report to Zubin Gandevia, Chief Operating Officer, as he replaces Jonathan Ellis in the new role.

Gandevia, COO, Asia, Fox International Channels, said, “Fox International Channels dominates television viewing across the globe with its distinctive content, strong channel portfolio anchored upon well-recognised brands and valuable affiliate partnerships. The guiding principle of FOSM is to create a bridge that connects our consumers across the globe with our advertisers. FOSM aims to go beyond the 30-second spot and offers a mix of on-air, off-air and online solutions to meet advertiser needs. In addition to delivering world-class products, we believe that we also need the right structure and people to deliver solutions to our clients. The changes help us do just that.”

Meanwhile, Rajesh Sheshadri in his dual role will head a newly-created Trade Solutions division within FOSM and will also perform the role of the Territory Head of FIC’s flagship market of Hong Kong. The veteran has been transferred to Hong Kong after five years at FIC in India. He brings in 12 years’ industry experience and has developed some of India’s highest profile TV, radio and print media.

Jude Turcuato will continue to lead as Territory Director for the Philippines and will now report directly to Gandevia. He will continue to create opportunities in terms of localising the channel portfolio and driving local affiliate and advertising sales.

Yvonne Tay, former Vice President, Advertising Sales & Partnerships, will move to Singapore as Vice President and Territory Head - Singapore to further build FIC’s leadership in Southeast Asia. She will report to Avi Himatsinghani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Southeast Asia.
