TN Prabhu of Indiatimes 8888 joins Rediff as VP, Strategy and Planning

T.N. Prabhu, who spearheaded the 8888 services of Indiatimes, has joined Rediff as Vice-President, Strategy and Planning. Prabhu will be driving the wireless and some key initiatives at Rediff. He will be posted in Mumbai.

On his job profile, Prabhu said, “I will be handling all the key strategic initiatives of the company. The new initiatives that would revolve around wireless and broadband will be taken care of by me.”

Prabhu spent four years with Indiatimes and was heading Telecom there. Prabhu bid adieu to the Times Group last week. When asked why he was quitting, Prabhu told exchange4media last week, “I have lived up to the challenges and it was time that I looked out for fresh challenges. Most of the business in Indiatimes happened under me and I am very happy with the progress I made here.”

Prior to Indiatimes, Prabhu was with Cyber Media for 10 years. He began his career with The Hindu in 1989, where he worked for two years.
