Tamil Daily Dinamalar ropes in Martin King as National Ad Sales Head

Tamil newspaper Dinamalar has appointed Martin King as its National Advertising Sales Head. Prior to this, King was Station Director at Radio One, Chennai responsible for the overall P&L of the station. King replaces KR Skandraaj, who was designated as General Manager. He is expected to join the group by mid-October.

A highly placed source close to the development has confirmed the news to exchange4media and also said that King’s mandate will be to explore options to maximise advertising revenues for Dinamalar. He will report to L Adimoolam, Business Head, Dinamalar.

Neither King nor Adimoolam could be contacted for comments at the time of filing the report.

With two decades of experience and expertise in the sales, marketing and general management, King worked with Radio One for four years, where he was responsible for sales generation, creating brand visibility and setting programming guidelines. He started his career with Bennett, Coleman and Co (Times Group) as Senior Manager before joining Radio City as Regional Business Head.
