Synovate India elevates Paru Minocha to Executive Director

Synovate India has elevated Director Paru Minocha to Executive Director, whereby she would be responsible for overall management for the India business, with immediate effect. Based in Delhi, Minocha will report to Tim Balbirnie, Synovate’s CEO for South Asia. Synovate is the market research arm of Aegis Group Plc, and generates consumer insights with cohesive global support and a comprehensive suite of research solutions that drive competitive marketing solutions.

Balbirnie said Minocha was a long-standing and talented leader within Synovate India and it was easy to promote her. “We have great depth of talent in our India team and Minocha’s appointment as our business head is well deserved. Her research expertise and management experience will contribute to a client-focused approach and will help drive our very important India operation,” he said.

Minocha has a management degree from Xavier Institute of Management Studies, Bhubaneshwar. She has worked extensively in market research with ORG MARG and Blackstone Market Facts India (BMFI), and has helped in setting up Synovate’s Delhi office. Synovate acquired BMFI in 2003 and Minocha has continued to play a leading role in the growth of the company in the Indian marketplace.

The company’s previous leader in India, Alok Shanker, will be on leave until April 2008. He has expressed his desire to take up a new role within Synovate on his return.
