Vice Presidents Suresh Selvaraj and Indranil Roy have been promoted as Presidents of the Outlook Group with immediate effect. Both Selvaraj and Roy would continue to be responsible for the specific publications that they have been handling in addition to now looking after the growth and profitability of these magazines.
Selvaraj is looking after ‘Outlook’, ‘Outlook Saptahik’ and ‘Marie Claire’, while Roy, who is based in Mumbai, is responsible for ‘Outlook Money’, ‘Outlook Business’, and the recently-launched ‘Outlook Profit’ as well as the soon-be-launched ‘People’ magazine.
Maheshwer Peri would continue to steer the Group on the high growth path that it had taken three years ago.
Commenting on the promotions, Peri said, “The year 2007 has been a year of tremendous growth for the Group. Next year would be even bigger as a number of new magazines with national and international tie-ups would be launched by the Outlook Group. Both Suresh and Indranil have been with the Group for more than 10 years and have delivered consistently. It is a matter of pride for us that these two people have grown from within the ranks to become Presidents. I look forward to continued support from them.”
The Outlook Group has already announced the launch of ‘Geo’ under license from Gruhner & Jahr, the largest European magazine publisher, and ‘People’ under license from Time Inc. the largest North American magazine publisher.
