Suresh Balakrishnan heads back to Lintas Media Group

Suresh Balakrishnan is returning to Lintas Media Group (LMG). He would be reporting to LMG's Chairman and CEO Lynn de Souza. Balakrishnan joins the agency on January 9, 2012 and would be working closely with de Souza on the development of a new agency brand under LMG.

Lynn de Souza and Suresh Balakrishnan have confirmed the news to exchange4media.

The move marks Balakrishnan's return not only to Lintas, but also to the media agency business.

Balakrishnan had quit Lowe Lintas’ Initiative Media as EVP and GM in 2003 to join The Hindustan Times as VP - Media & Marketing. In 2005, he had joined Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) as Executive Vice-President, Marketing, but was moved to DNA when ZEEL joined hands with the Bhaskar Group to launch DNA in Mumbai. He had quit the organisation two years later and subsequently moved to Mail Today as COO, which he quit in 2011.

In another development at the company, earlier this week, Lintas Media Group elevated Sudha Natrajan to head the newly created full service media and digital offer Lintas Initiative Media, and appointed her on the board of Lintas Initiative Outdoor.
