Sunil Sahjwani has returned to the Times of India Group and this time he will play a role across the Bennett, Coleman and Company (BCCL) products for creative inputs. Confirming the development, BCCL, President, Arun Arora informed that Sahjwani would take on his new responsibility in the organisation this week and begin with Zoom and Radio Mirchi.
The nature of the job is a first of sorts for BCCL. Elaborating further, Arora said, “Sunil is a resource for the Times of India Group and will be required to handle products across the group. At present, since his expertise has been in the visual and audio medium, his first assignments include Zoom and Radio Mirchi.”
He added, “This doesn’t preclude us from giving him any task on Times Music or Home Entertainment Retail or any of the other ventures.”
Replying to whether Sahjwani would be handling any of the print products, Arora said, “We haven’t spoken to him on that yet, but if we feel that there is something that he can help us on, then we will give him that work too.”
Arora further said that Sahjwani would be interacting with the relevant Business Head of the venture. For instance, in the case of Zoom, he would be working with Arora, while in the case of Mirchi, he would be working with A P Parigi. “It’s more of relationships than the traditional reporting system,” insisted Arora.
Prior to this, Sahjwani was with Percept Picture Company as Chief Creative Director and before that he was with Radio Mirchi as Programming Head.
