Sunil Mutreja has joined Hindi daily newspaper Amar Ujala as President-Marketing. He will be reporting to Atul Maheshwari, Managing Director, Amar Ujala. Mutreja would be looking after national ad sales, brand management and circulation.
Mutreja’s last stint was in Muscat as CEO of Advertising International Corporation LLC (ADINC) Y&R, a JV between Omzest Group and Young & Rubycam, where he spent a year. He spearheaded the agency becoming a joint venture between Bates Pangulf, to make it part of WPP.
Mutreja began his career in 1989 with The Times of India where he spent four years, before handling Times TV as Associate VP for a year. He also worked with an ad filmmaking company called Channel Nine Entertainment Ltd as CEO.
Prior to ADINC Y&R, Mutreja headed the Rajasthan circle for Dainik Bhaskar, looking after all functions of the daily during his tenure of one and a half years.
