Sunil Dutt puts in his papers as Director-Sales, Nokia

After spending five and half years at Nokia, Sunil Dutt has quit as Director-Sales. Confirming the development, Dutt said, “This is the most exciting emerging opportunity. I will be starting my own entrepreneurial venture, which will kick off next month. It will be a venture about distribution of a few brands for telecom devices and accessories. The retail venture could be a competitor for other mobile retail chains like Hotspot, The Mobile Store (owned by Essar), Mobile Magic and Subhiksha Retail, which also sells mobile phones and accessories.”

At Nokia, Dutt was responsible for sales. He was also looking after account management as well as strategy for organised retail.

Prior to Nokia, Dutt had spent a year at Barista as Head of Operations. He has also spent five years with Whirlpool in different capacities where he was Regional Head of north, east and west India.

Dutt had begun his career with Philips.
