O&M has been beefing up its top rung with new Presidents for Mumbai, and now in Delhi and Bangalore. The Ogilvy India Board has named Sudhir Sahni as President for O&M Delhi. His elevation comes close on the heels of Simmi Sabhaney being elevated as President of O&M Bangalore and Hephzibah Pathak as President of O&M Mumbai.
Sahni has been with O&M since December 1996. He spent part of this tenure with Ogilvy Mumbai, leading Ogilvy Healthcare for Delhi and Bangalore. He has worked on businesses like American Express, UNICEF Pulse Polio, VDIS '97, Seagrams, Coke and Hindustan Times, to name a few.
Commenting on his new assignment, Sahni said, “I have always loved creating strong brands and brand relationships. The new assignment will help me in driving Ogilvy Delhi to become the most irresistible agency – to work with and work for – in the industry.”
Meanwhile, Simmi Sabhaney has been elevated as President for O&M Bangalore. Sabhaney has been with Ogilvy for almost 18 years and worked on Unilever’s F&B brands, Titan, Madhura Garments, ITC Foods, Cadbury’s, WorldSpace, Canara Bank, Skol Breweries, Yahoo, Prestige and Rohan Builders, among others.
Her journey in O&M has been from Account Executive to President. While at Ogilvy, she has also spent four years at Ogilvy Mumbai working on Unilever’s, Cadbury’s and a USAID-funded programme, ‘Goli ke Hamjoli’.
Speaking about her new role, Sabhaney said, “It feels wonderful to make the journey from Account Executive to President within the same organisation. The Ogilvy culture is very stimulating as a result in my 18 years here, I have always felt passionate about the work that we create. I look forward to driving this passion and zeal among the youngsters in my new role.”
