Sudhir Sahni elevated to the position of President, Client Services, O&M Delhi

Sudhir Sahni, VP-Client Services at O&M Delhi, has been promoted as President, Client Services. He has been with the agency for the last 10 years.

Confirming the development, Sanjay Thapar, President, O&M Delhi, said, “It is part of the restructuring where we already had heads to look after the creative as well as planning for the agency. We were looking at strengthening the third pillar, that is, client services, and decided to elevate Sudhir as the President for the same.”

Talking about his new role, Sahni said, “My role is to essentially ensure that the overall quality of account management gets its due with focus on strategic thinking and manpower training, thus leading to quality output and growth and development of people.”

At O&M, Sahni has worked with well-known clients such as Seagram’s, Gillette, Fanta and Sprite, among others. Prior to joining O&M, he spent close to three and a half years at FCB-Ulka and the same number of years at HTA (now JWT).

Sahni, who began his career with RK Swamy/BBDO, was with Reckitt for about nine months.

When asked to select a few of his past work that he considered to be noteworthy, Sahni pointed out the VDIS (Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme) campaign, where O&M had partnered with JWT for the campaign. The reason he gave was the successful communication and the tremendous results that the campaign had yielded. He also mentioned the launch of American Express credit card in India as another campaign that he was proud to be a part of. Among the current work, Sahni cited the Gillette campaign.

Elaborating on the mantra for success in account management, he said, “I think as an individual one should have an honest approach to the assignments and create communication that is relevant to the consumer while selling the communication well.”
