Subodh Marwah joins Carlsberg India as Marketing Director

Carlsberg India has appointed Subodh Marwah as Marketing Director.

Carlsberg officials could not be contacted at the time of filing this report. It is however learnt that Marwah assumed his role last month. He comes in the place of Devapriya Khanna, who had recently quit the company as its Marketing Director.

Marwah’s career spans almost 17 years. He joins Carlsberg India from Thomson Reuters, where he was working as Vice President, Marketing, Reuters Market Light. Prior to that, Marwah was with Procter & Gamble (P&G) as their Associate Marketing Director. He has also served Gillette in various roles.

Danish brewer Carlsberg entered India in 2006 with the company’s flagship brands – Tuborg and Carlsberg. Devapriya Khanna was spearheading the marketing initiative for the brand to take the two products to the next level before quitting in May 2011. Since launch, the company has gained a strong foot hold in the major cities by marketing initiatives focused on the TG. Tuborg Fun Starter Nights are also back, as the brand brings T-Pain to India for concert in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune this week.
