Star India ropes in Shams Kabir to head Media Buying and Presentation

Shams Kabir has joined Star India as Head of Media buying and Presentation. Prior to joining Star India, Kabir was with Oxigen Services India, where he was Senior Vice President, Marcom.

Anupam Vasudev, EVP - Marketing, Star India, has confirmed the appointment and said that it was a newly-created role and that Kabir would be looking after the internal buying and planning of the Star India Network.

Kabir has around 16 years’ experience in the fields of Media Planning & Buying as well as Brand & Business Management in companies such as Mindshare, Madison, Media Direction RK Swamy, Lowe Lintas and Partners, among others. He has worked in all facets of strategic brand management.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
