Span boosts digital ops; brings in Kshitiz Randhir Shori as Biz Head

Following the huge win of the Incredible India account worth Rs 200 crore, Span Communication is boosting its digital operations. A new business unit has been set up to look after the digital duties of not only the existing clients, but new clients as well. With the formation of the new division, the agency has announced the appointment of Kshitiz Randhir Shori to lead the operations as its Business Head - Digital. Shori comes on board from Jivox, an online video ad network, where he was heading sales and business development for the APAC region and had played a pivotal role in setting up Jivox’s business in India and its success in the Indian markets.

Confirming Shori’s appointment in an official communique, Rohit Kheterpal, Director, Span Communications India, said, “We are delighted to have Kshitiz on board to head our Digital Marketing Division. After having done several digital campaigns for various clients, we thought it was the right time to have a separate division with a Business Head and a fullfledged team to expand our bouquet of offerings to clients. Besides display and search, we are also going to focus on Social Media and Online Reputation Management, which is very crucial to brands. Kshitiz brings in rich experience in advertising and sales and I am sure we are geared to reach newer heights with this.”

Shori will spearhead the digital business of Span Communications on a pan India basis and will be based out of Delhi. His prime responsibilities will include new business development, setting up a dedicated Digital Marketing Team and growing existing businesses of Span that includes Ministry of Tourism (Incredible India), SBI, ESIC, Ansal Group, GFive Mobiles and other accounts that the agency handles.

Commenting on his new role, Shori said, “I was excited by the challenge this role had to offer and was highly impressed by Rohit’s vision and excitement to grow the digital division. I think this is an exciting period where digital is actually becoming an indispensable part of media mix strategies across industry verticals, I look forward to an exciting time ahead with Span.”

Shori has been part of the digital eco-system for the past 11 years. He has gained immense experience in the domain, having worked for publishers and agencies. Prior to Jivox, he has had stints with Quasar and Hughes Communications Ltd.
