Space Matrix appoints Andrey Purushottam as MD, India

Space Matrix, one of Asia’s largest multi-disciplinary design firms providing design and design/ build services in the architecture, infrastructure and workplace sectors, has appointed Andrey Purushottam as Managing Director for its India operations. Purushottam will hold the position of Chief Marketing Officer for Space Matrix as well.

Purushottam joins Space Matrix with over 24 years of experience across sectors like FMCG, media & entertainment, automotive and advertising. He has been a business head/ CEO for over 15 years and has worked for companies like Lowe Lintas, Hindustan Unilever and the Mahindra Group in India and Indonesia. He has also served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Media Research Users Council (MRUC).

“We are very excited to have Andrey join us as Managing Director for our India operations as well as our Chief Marketing Officer,” said Anurag Srivastava, CEO, Space Matrix. “His background of being a CEO and having worked in creative industries with companies like Lintas as well as his experience with manufacturing companies such as Mahindra, brings a unique combination that will help us in building a stronger design and design/ build business.”

In his new role as Managing Director, Purushottam will strengthen Space Matrix’s position in their largest market, which contributes almost 60 per cent to overall revenue. As Chief Marketing Officer, he will bring his vast experience and expertise across functions like marketing, business strategy, advertising and media to further develop and build the Space Matrix brand globally.

Founded in 2001, Space Matrix has strategically advanced from its roots as a boutique design organisation based in Singapore to the current international network of 11 offices, including eight in India. The Space Matrix client list includes Fortune 500 companies like Google, Facebook, Rolls-Royce, Wells Fargo, Nokia, Fortis, Shell, Unilever, and Axis Bank, among others.
