Sidhartha M Jain to head Adlabs' new animation division

Sidhartha M Jain, who joined Adlabs recently, will be heading the film major's newly set up animation division. Jain was earlier with Hyperion Pictures as VP for India, where he was producing actor Salman Khan's first Hollywood venture, 'Marigold'.

Hyperion is also very active in the animation space, having created animated content for the past 21 years. At Hyperion, Jain was also closely involved with the development of two animated projects – 'Bollywood High' and 'The Oz Kids'.

Said Jain, "There is a huge opportunity in the animation space and Adlabs is providing a platform and resources to exploit the opportunity. We are not looking to hire animators and start a facility. We intend to co finance and finance development of original animated content and work together with animation studios."

He further said, "There are a lot of opportunities that we are going to explore. The idea is to be a swift player and move quickly. The growth potential is so huge that it is time that the big players got into this space."
