Shobitha Viswanathan joins Mudra Chennai as Director-Brand Communications

Shobitha Viswanathan has joined Mudra Chennai as Director-Brand Communications. Prior to joining Mudra, she was Account Director at RK Swamy/BBDO Chennai. Viswanathan is expected to manage key relationships and continue the good work on brands like RmKV Silks. She will be assisting Vigneshwar Iyer in managing Mudra operations in Chennai.

Commenting on the move, S Radhakrishnan, Executive Vice President and Head-Mudra South, said, “Shobitha comes with excellent experience and is a welcome addition to our Chennai operations. She will work with Vignesh closely. I do believe she will make a difference to our approach on the brands that she works on.”

Viswanathan said, “My focus would be to facilitate good and timely work. Mudra has done some powerful work on RmKV.”

Viswanathan is an Economics graduate from Stella Maris College, Chennai, and a post-graduate in Mass Communication. She has also earlier worked with JWT and Saatchi & Saatchi. She has worked on brands like SmithKlineBeecham, Mico, Sara Lee, Citizen, Henkel and Wipro, among others, in her advertising career spanning more than a decade.
