Shashank Gawade, who had earlier worked in GroupM Activation, has returned to the group. He has joined Maxus as Client Leader - Brand Activation. In his new role, Gawade will be responsible for closely working with business teams to incubate and fast track brand activation projects for Maxus clients across the country.
On Gawade’s appointment, Ajit Varghese, MD, Maxus, said, “Shashank, in his earlier stint with GroupM, was instrumental in laying the foundation of a new division (Dialect) along with Deepak Jayaram, and now we expect him to take the practice of Brand Activation to the next level for Maxus clients. I am happy to have Shashank back again as part of the national core team to develop the Maxus product.”
Gawade had moved out of GroupM in 2007 to join SureWaves, a new generation media convergence company. During his earlier stint with GroupM, he was Business Director at the Dialect division, handling strategic solutions in retail, trade, cinema and micro marketing, and was instrumental in incubating the practice along with Deepak Jayaram.
Prior to GroupM, Gawade was with Business World, handling advertising sales.
