Shamik Talukder quits Times OOH as National Revenue Head

Shamik Talukder, National Revenue Head, Times OOH, has put in his papers at the outdoor advertising unit of Times Group. He is currently serving his notice period at the organization. It was not known where Talukder was headed. At Times OOH, Talukder was reporting to COO Farid Kureshi. It is understood that no replacement has yet been found for Talukder.

Talukder confirmed the development but refused to divulge any future plans. In his capacity as National Revenue Head, he was looking after the revenue generation opportunities along with the company’s expansion plans. Despite repeated attempts, officials from Times OOH could not be contacted at the time of filing this report.

During Talukder’s tenure, Times OOH had managed to bag the advertising rights for the airports in Delhi and Mumbai. Prior to joining Times, Talukder was looking after sales for West and East at SET India. In his 11-year career in the media industry, Talukder has worked with Radio Mirchi as Sales Head – North, as well as with organisations like Star TV and Indya.com.
