Shaju Ignatius quits Percept Group to start his own consultancy

Shaju Ignatius has decided to venture into consultancy. He has put in his papers at the Percept Group, where his last stint was as a consultant to the Percept Integrated Marketing venture. He had also worked as President and Business Head of Percept D’Mark for their entertainment and special projects.

Ignatius, who has worked with the Percept Group for three years, said, “After having spent about 12 years in the events and entertainment industry, I thought it was time to do something more challenging and explore newer territories. I am currently consulting a couple of large-scale projects and clientele. I am also involved in a new B2B dotcom that targets the event space. However, I cannot divulge any details right now.”

Prior to joining the Percept Group, Ignatius, who has 12 years’ experience, was Regional Head-Western Region for 360 Degrees Entertainment for three years. He was also with event management company Wizcraft for seven years as Senior Manager-Special Events, where he was involved in several projects involving international stars, including Michael Jackson’s India tour, concerts by Shaggy, Deep Purple, UB40, and Lou Bega. He was also involved with the first ever TV concerts by Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.

“I got tagged as an ‘awards specialist’ in the industry, as I had managed almost all the major film and music awards held in the country – viz. Filmfare Awards, Zee Cine Awards, Zee Sangeet, Bollywood Awards, IIFA Awards, Screen Awards, Hero Sports Awards, Sangeet Awards, Economic Times Awards, Filmfare South Awards, Mata Sanman Awards, Ceat Cricket Rating Awards, Castrol Cricket Awards,” added Ignatius.
