Senior level exits at Mid-Day; Abhhijit Mazumdar made Exec Editor for all editions

Continuing with the churn that media companies are seeing, this time it is Mid-Day that has its share of announcements. The company’s Group Editorial Director, Shishir Joshi, and Editor-Editions for Mid-Day, Krishna Warrier, resigned from the company on March 18, 2009.

Mid-Day has decided not to replace the position of Group Editorial Director. Instead, Abhijit Mazumdar, who was Resident Editor, Delhi, is moving to Mumbai as Executive Editor, Mid-Day, All Editions. Mazumdar will report to Manajit Ghoshal, CEO, Mid-Day Multimedia.

Confirming these developments to exchange4media, Ghoshal said that the changes would take place with immediate effect.

Shishir Joshi said, “I have enjoyed my stint with Mid-Day and now I am ready to move on.”
