Saurav Sen quitting Indiatimes, to join ABP group as Biz Head, Internet & Telecom

Saurav Sen, GM and Head of Telecom Content with Times Internet Ltd, has put in his papers. He is joining the Anand Bazar Patrika (ABP) Group as Business Head, Internet and Telecom. Sen will be reporting to Pramath Raj Sinha, CEO and MD, ABP Group.

Sen, who joined TIL four years back as GM-Brands, moved laterally as the Editor of Timesofindia.com. Later he was appointed Head of Corporate Group, TIL, and also assumed charge as Head of Telecom Content.

Sen, who has 18 years’ experience in media, was with Khaleez Times, Dubai as the Head-Digital Media for five year before joining the Times Group. He is also one of the earliest entrants in the online journalism space in India.

At the ABP Group, Sen will take all ABP Group publications to the Internet and telecom domain and create new revenue streams.

Speaking about his experience with Indiatimes, Sen said, “It was a real dream run for me as far as career satisfaction is concerned. I will always cherish those years throughout my life. One important thing I learned at Indiatimes is to think differently, and I am carrying it forward with me.”

About his new assignment, Sen said, “It’s a huge challenge. The ABP Group is one of the most respected organisations in India. Though they are a late entrant in the Internet and telecom business, I believe they have the wherewithal to reach the leadership level. I will create more activities in the telecom domain and build parallel revenue possibilities for the organisation.”
