Saurabh Malhotra appointed COO of NDTV Labs

NDTV has announced the appointment of Saurabh Malhotra as COO of its software and technology company, NDTV Labs Ltd. Malhotra would be heading new business areas. He will be reporting to Rahul Deshpande, CEO, NDTV Labs CEO as well as its Board of Directors.

In his new role, Malhotra will be responsible for the success of the company and will steer new business initiatives comprising infrastructure outsourcing, systems integration in the broadcast space, software / technology development and retail TV markets, all of which will be run as separate business verticals.

Malhotra comes with 18 years of diverse experience in sales, marketing and general management as well as in setting up new businesses in the IT and OA environments.

In his last responsibility as Director, Sales & Marketing, Malhotra had led the growth initiatives of Barco Electronic Systems Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Belgian company Barco NV in India and neighbouring countries. For 10 years in that capacity, he played a significant role in incubating as well as maturing some of their business units in India. Prior to Barco, Malhotra had held various positions with HCL Ltd, Network Ltd and DCM Data Products Ltd.
