Sargunan Venugopal joins Raj TV Network as President, Sales and Marketing

Sargunan Venugopal has joined Raj Television Network as President, Sales and Marketing. Prior to his new assignment, Venugopal was President, Marketing at Chitra Corporate OOH, a Gujarat based outdoor media house. Venugopal also had a stint with Sambhaav Media Ltd as President, Marketing.

An MBA from Nagpur University, Venugopal has 21 years of experience. He has earlier worked with The Hitavada as Group GM, Navbharat, TVS-Whirlpool Ltd, Real Value Appliances Ltd, Haldiram International Ltd, and many other appliances and FMCG companies.

Commenting on his new role, Venugopal said, “My 10 years’ experience in the media industry, especially print and OOH domain, gives me more confidence to perform at my best in my new assignment. TV channels offer clients more chances to innovate in this competitive world. Raj TV has a unique positioning in the South and the Group is planning to launch more channels, which give me the energy to accept the new challenge. It’s not about television channels, it’s about the challenges ahead.”

Venugopal’s role at Raj TV involves developing the marketing plan, setting up nation wide branches, developing and leading a team of highly motivated marketing personnel and interacting with large corporate clients, government institutions and agencies. “I am excited to be associated with the brand and look forward to working with the very proactive team and taking the Group’s vision forward,” he added.

Meanwhile, Raj TV has recently elevated Vivek Vaidya and Sanjay Banerjee as Associate Vice-Presidents, Sales and Marketing.
