Sanjeev Bhargava joins JWT as Managing Partner

JWT India has appointed Sanjeev Bhargava as Managing Partner. In this leadership role, Bhargava will be responsible for JWT Delhi. He comes in with vast experience of over two decades in advertising. Prior to joining JWT, Bhargava was with DraftFCB for 18 years. He had joined them in 1993 as Group Manager and was promoted as Chief Operating Officer in 2003.

Commenting on the appointment, Colvyn Harris, CEO, JWT, said, “JWT Delhi is our fastest growing office, and Sanjeev’s proven track record and leadership qualities will ensure our continued leadership in the market. Our client roster comprises India’s most admired and successful companies and helping them achieve their market ambitions and growth is our primary task. Sanjeev’s role will be crucial for this.”

On his joining JWT, Bhargava said, “JWT has always been an institution that has led the way for advertising in India. The amazingly successful track record of the Delhi office is testimony to the vast resource pool of talent and leadership that exists in the organisation. I am excited to be part of this team and look forward to taking the organisation to greater heights.”

In his career in advertising Bhargava has managed diverse clients like Unilever, Nestle, Pepsi, HP, Compaq, Whirlpool, SC Johnson, Hero Honda, Naukri.com, Godfrey Phillips, Boeing, HCL, Frito Lay, and Tropicana, to name a few. Before joining DraftFCB, he was with JWT Delhi for four years and with Lowe, where he started his advertising career.

A WPP company, JWT India operates through offices in six cities and partners blue chip clients, including Airtel, Aditya Birla Financial Services, Bharti Retail, Pepsico, FritoLay, ITC, Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Hero Honda, Sony Vaio, Sony Bravia, Nike, Nestle, Nokia, Levi’s, Pizza Hut, UB, Kingfisher, Kellogg’s, Tisco, Exide, and Ford among others. JWT works with 26 of the top 100 super brands ranked by Superbrands India, and nine of the top 25 Most Trusted Brands in India as per the Economic Times Brand Equity Survey.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
