Sanjay Trehan to hold additional charge of Indiatimes content as Arunava Sinha resigns

After the exit of Mahendra Swarup as CEO of Indiatimes, some structural changes seem to be in the offing in the organisation. Arunava Sinha, Head of Content at Indiatimes, has resigned. Sanjay Trehan, who is heading the broadband initiatives at Indiatimes, will now head content as an additional responsibility.

Said Trehan, “My job will be to bring business focus to Indiatimes’ content. This will help us take the broadband initiative forward in a much more pervasive way and in a convergent manner.”

As reported earlier by exchange4media, Indiatimes is planning to ‘broadband-enable’ its entire content. “We are targeting to launch our new multi-media products within three to six months’ time,” Trehan informed, adding, “We will ensure qualitatively richer consumer experience. I will also try to synergise a lot of group properties with the present content.”

Sinha will be leaving the organisation at the end of February. He joined Times Internet as Editor, ET Online, in 2002, and was later promoted as Head of Indiatimes content. He is currently designated as Executive Producer, Indiatimes.
