Sanjay Singh appointed as Akamai India MD

Akamai Technologies Inc, the leading global service provider for accelerating content and business processes online, has appointed Sanjay Singh as the Managing Director of Akamai India.

Singh will lead Akamai’s India operations and further establish awareness for the company’s Internet content delivery and application acceleration services. In addition to serving as Managing Director, Singh will also act as Akamai’s Vice-President, Global Account Management.

Singh has been serving Akamai for more than six years in various capacities. Speaking about Singh’s appointment, Paul Sagan, President and CEO, Akamai, said, “Sanjay's strong leadership skills and experience in managing different cross-functional teams within Akamai make him the ideal person to manage Akamai’s India operations in Bangalore.”

Accepting his new responsibilities, Singh said that he would focus on making Akamai India as the technology company best positioned to help usher in the broadband era in India and unleash the largely untapped potential of the Internet for Indian retailers, the government as well as the media.
