Sanjay Hemady to join MTV Network as Group Account Director

The erstwhile Sales Head (National Accounts) at Win 94.6, Sanjay Hemady, is set to join MTV Network as Group Account Director. His new assignment begins from June 1, 2004 and he would be reporting to Ad Sales in-charge Vineet Puri. Hemady’s overwhelming commitment to Gautam Radia-owned Win 94.6 radio station is well known in the media circles; he has been the driving force behind most of the creative and innovative solutions furnished by the station for key clients. Hemady has been associated with Win 94.6 since its inception two and a half years ago.

When asked to comment on his experience at Win 94.6, Hemady said, “My experience was based on strength, passion and commitment. I would say that it has been a tremendously exciting and satisfying two and a half years…right from maintaining standards to bringing on some creative breakthroughs and innovative solutions for key clients. My role at the station was to drive and grow business, motivate my team and to keep winning always (in the Win tradition) and I must say that the team was close-knit and dedicated towards the task.”

He added, “MTV is a natural progession on account of the young vibrant team at hand, close-knit work culture, passion and creative talent. What I want to do at MTV is to work on team strengths and achieve the unachievable. Keep winning always…that’s my philosophy in life. The dream works, only when the team works!”

Hemady’s career span started with The Indian Express and the Mid Day Group, wherein he handled the ad sales mandate. With the experience garnered in print, he moved on to television, first with Hinduja-promoted In Network/CVO and then with BBC World.

Hemady also had a stint in the online space, as Regional Manager, South in Microland-promoted Media2india and In all, he has 13 years experience in ad sales.
