Sanjay Bhutiani, who quit as CEO of Percept P9 in December last year, has joined BR Films as Business Head. In his new role, Bhutiani will spearhead the production of film and television content for BR Films, marketing and distribution initiatives, cable and satellite rights and management of post-production facilities.
Bhutiani said, “My first association with BR Films was at Leo Burnett, when we married P&G’s Tide with the popular film ‘Baghban’. I look upon my time at BR Films as an opportunity to spearhead production of mega projects and to facilitate their marketing and distribution. In addition, I am also responsible for facilitating tie-ups with brands in films and getting new and better talent into the company.”
The BR Group of Companies is a fully integrated film, television, advertising and new media conglomerate. BR Films has emerged as a major entertainment software production house in the last few decades of Indian films and television serials.
Before joining P9, Bhutiani was heading Leo Entertainment, a division of Leo Burnett India, which provides marketing communication solutions to the entertainment industry. Leo Entertainment has worked with clients such as Ram Gopal Varma, White Feather Films, BR Films, Ramesh Sippy, Pooja Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Coca-Cola, Thums Up, Maaza, Castrol, UB, and Tata Tea, among others.
