Sanjay Banerjee made National Head – Sales & Marketing at Raj TV Network

Close on the heels of appointing Vidyadhar Khatavkar as Group COO, Raj TV Network has promoted Sanjay Banerjee to National Head – Sales & Marketing. He took charge of his new role from January 5, 2011. He will be reporting to Raajhendhran M, MD& Chairman, Raj TV Network, and will be primarily based out of Delhi.

Banerjee has been with the group since December 2006 as Associate Vice-President for the North and East Indian markets, where his responsibilities included budgeting revenue targets, strategic tie-ups, content integration and revenue generation.

Commenting on his new role, Banerjee said, “We have been around in the television industry for the past 15 years and have a stronghold in the Tamil Nadu market. We have consolidated our business in North India and we are now looking at a pan-India presence. We have been lying low for the past couple of years, but since January 2011, we have launched three new shows, with two more to be launched on January 10. We are also looking at a soft rebranding for the Network.”

Banerjee had started his career at Indian Express in 1991 and has over 18 years’ experience, of which he has spent 10 years working in the television media industry. He began his television career in 2000 with Jain TV as Manager – Sales, and later was promoted as General Manager. Post that, he moved to CVO as General Manager, Advertising.
