Sanjay Bahadur has quit Mail Today as Associate Publisher-Impact for the India Today Group’s newspaper project. He had joined the Group in November 2006. Bahadur’s next destination is not yet known.
Suresh Balakrishnan, COO, Mail Today, said, “While Bahadur was here, he did a good job of guiding Mail Today through its launch phase. We wish him all the best in his future endeavour.”
On his next venture, Bahadur said, “I have a couple of options in hand which I am still evaluating. My experience at the India Today Group has been great. The pre-launch phase was exciting, and so have been the setting up of the entire team and the concept of a morninger.”
Prior to joining the India Today Group, Bahadur was with Hindustan Times, where he was VP-Media Marketing. He was with Hindustan Times for six and a half years. Bahadur had earlier spent a few years with a consumer durables company after which he moved to The Times of India Group in 1989. There, he helped with the launch of the international advertising division of TOI. He had also done a stint with Business Standard. Later, he joined MediaScope, a premier international media representation house, as VP for North India.
