Sandy Pinto bids adieu to Ignitee; starts own venture, Purple Spinach Communications

Sandy Pinto, who was with Ignitee Digital Solutions as Senior Vice President, has quit the agency. He has decided to turn entrepreneur and has started his own venture, called Purple Spinach Communications.

Speaking about the new venture, Pinto told exchange4media, “Being in a specialist agency has its own limitations. Purple Spinach will be all about ideas that integrate with brands to provide them 360 degree solutions across platforms.” He felt that there were brands out there that did not just need ideas in isolation, but clearly wanted a much integrated approach and the time was just right to tap it.

On expansion plans, Pinto stated, “Right now, the work force of the company is 14 and currently the set-up is Mumbai based, but with our tie-ups with partners, we might see operations moving to Delhi and Bangalore in a month’s time.”

Purple Spinach will be handling the creative mandates for ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Chanakya Institute of Public Leadership, IPCA Pharmaceuticals, and Elder Pharma, to name a few. The agency has been able to get these accounts in the matter of just three weeks.

Purple Spinach plans to strengthen its services by partnering experts in domains beyond the traditional and online services, ensuring holistic solutions.

Previously, Branch Head with Vyas Giannetti Creative, Mumbai, Pinto has over 10 years’ experience in advertising and has handled clients like Aditya Birla Group, Birla Sun Life Insurance, Birla Sun life Mutual Funds, Discovery Travel & Living, Zee Network, Indian Express, Air Mauritius, Tata AIG, HDFC Ergo, and Sony Entertainment Television, among others.
