Sandeep Sharma to head R K Swamy Media Group

Sandeep Sharma has joined R K Swamy Media Group as President. He takes over from Chintamani Rao, who is moving into another role in the company as Senior Advisor.

In a prepared statement, Shekar Swamy, Group CEO, R K Swamy Hansa, said, “We are delighted to have Sandeep lead this group. Our media service has seen very good growth over the past year. It serves the needs of over 75 advertisers across the country, delivering tremendous results to them. Sandeep’s mandate is to build on the quality of the service, even as he helps the group to engage wider and deeper with leading advertisers.”

In a career spanning 22 years, Sharma has been in senior leadership roles in revenue, brand and key client relationship management across media, advertising & brand management. Prior to this assignment he was Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales at Times Global Broadcasting Co, where he was part of the start-up team of Times Now helping build it into an iconic news service, and of ET Now.

Chintamani Rao said, “We have done a lot in the last couple of years. R K Swamy Media Group is now poised to play the game at the next level, and I look forward to Sandeep leading that charge. I am pulling back just a bit, to give myself time to some of the things I want to do.”

Commenting on his new assignment, Sandeep Sharma said, “R K Swamy Media group has a great set of clients and a high quality team across offices. I am excited to build further on the excellent work done so far and aggressively grow the business while retaining our focus on best quality service and superior media solutions to our clients.”

R K Swamy Media Group comprises four units – Media Direction, Digital Direction, Hansa Media and Hansa Outdoor. It is part of R K Swamy Hansa.
