Sandeep Pathak quits Bates as CEO

Sandeep Pathak, CEO, Bates, has called it quits after a five-year stint with the agency. Bates officials could not be reached for comments at the time of filing this report, however, industry sources have confirmed the news to exchange4media. When contacted, Pathak neither agreed nor denied the news.

The news comes close on the heels of Sonal Dabral, Regional Creative Director, Asia Pacific and India Chairman, also exiting the agency. It is learnt that Dabral is moving to Mudra, replacing Bobby Pawar, who recently joined JWT India.

Pathak had joined Bates (then Bates 141) in January 2007 as Mumbai Head. He was elevated to the role of CEO in September 2008. He was associated with Leo Burnett as Brand Partner before joining Bates.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
