RPG Enterprise beefs up senior management in keeping with its growth strategies

RPG Enterprise is on the path to building its capabilities further in filmmaking, television, radio and wireless content, as well as in event and international operations. In keeping with its goal, the Group has announced a spate of key new appointments.

Mukul Kansal joins as Business Unit General Manager (Entertainment Sector). An Engineer from IIT (Roorkee), as well as an MBA graduate from the Faculty of Management Studies (Delhi), Kansal comes with a rich experience in communications and marketing. Prior to RPG, he was with JWT for close to 20 years, where he held the designation of Vice-President and General Manager.

Announcing the new appointments, Saby Bhattacharya, Chief HR Officer (Entertainment Sector), said, “RPG’s aims to become a leader and pioneer across several verticals in the next five years. In keeping with this objective, we are investing in recruiting talent to create an organisation of and for tomorrow.”

He further said, “The list of new entrants to the RPG family is growing. It includes Milind Lele, who has joined as Controller, National Physical Network; Anjum Ahmed Katyal (Chief Editor, RPG Publishing Business); Gavin Dabreo (Marketing Controller); and Mihir Mankad, who heads the Strategic Planning Department. These appointments show how we are building our human resources from strength to strength.”

Also on the anvil are new senior level postings for content creation and production in cinema as well as in television.

Speaking on the development, Subroto Chattopadhyay, MD, Saregama India Ltd, and President and CEO (Entertainment Sector), RPG Enterprises, said, “The entertainment industry as it stands today provides immense potential for RPG to expand and grow. As part of our revamp to tap this potential, we plan several new appointments at senior level positions in the coming weeks.”

He added, “At the RPG Group of companies, we follow multinational best practices while maintaining the soul of an Indian company. We firmly believe in working with and for the best.”
