RP Singh, quit MH One News on June 6 as Chief Operating Officer after an association of seven months. On the other hand, Pankaj Shukla, Associate Editor, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) TV, has now joined MH One News Channel as Executive Producer. MH One recently came into the foray of news after its successful stint as a music channel.
Singh has more than 26 years of experience in media and had an integral role in shaping up MH One News and bringing it to its present position. Singh had earlier worked in The Times of India, The Observer and Zee News before joining the channel. He worked for nine years in Zee News in different capacities.
Singh was also associated with noted journalist Dilip Padgaonkar and Arvind Nath. He has also worked for ‘Subah Savere’, and the 13-episode historical series ‘India Invented’ on Doordarshan.
“My responsibilities to help build up the new channel is complete and now I am in a mood to rest. At the moment, I have not decided to join anywhere. I would think about joining after a vacation of a month or so,” said Singh.
Meanwhile, Shukla will be reporting to Alka Saxena, CEO and Editor-In-Chief, MH One News, and will be part of the channel’s core team. Commenting on Shukla’s appointment, Saxena said, “While he was at Zee News as Deputy Executive Producer, Pankaj launched most of the highest TRP generating programmes. He brings in a variety of experience with him, from news to programming to production.”
Shukla was earlier associated with Zee News, where he planned and directed some of the most popular shows.
