Rohit Ahluwalia has joined Adlabs Films Ltd as Sales and Marketing Head. He will be instrumental in driving the sales and marketing for the company that has its presence in Mumbai, Nasik, Pune and Ghaziabad. Ahluwalia will be reporting to Tushar Dhingra, COO, Adlabs Films Ltd.
“The cinema and entertainment industry interests me. The new position will give me a challenging environment and a bigger responsibility,” said Ahluwalia, giving the reason for joining Adlabs.
When quizzed about the future plans of Adlabs, Ahluwalia informed that the company would be laying its thrust on non-metros and had plans to get into Indore and Mangalore by March this year. Adlabs is also betting big on Agra and has also lined up some marketing innovations that will be revealed in due course of time.
Prior to joining Adlabs, Ahluwalia was associated with Mumbai Mirror as Senior Manager for seven months.
Ahluwalia began his career as a management trainee with Sunstar Lubricants Ltd. Thereafter he moved to a Singapore-based company Future Enterprises as Sales Manager for a year.
Ahluwalia, who always had a passion for the media sector, joined India Today as Brand Manager, where he was responsible for the marketing of the afternoon newspaper of the group, ‘Today’, and also looked after the online initiatives of the mobile venture. He was with the organisation for five years.
