Reliance Ent’s CEO - Digital quits

Rohit Sharma has put in his papers as CEO - Digital at Reliance Entertainment. Industry sources have confirmed the development to exchange4media. The sources further informed that Sharma would soon start an e-commerce site focussed on kids. Sharma couldn’t be reached for comments at the time of filling the report.

He had joined as CEO of Zapak.com in March 2006 and built the entire team and business from scratch. He has an experience of over 12 years in the digital entertainment industry, where he has managed all aspects of the Internet business, including content, community, e-commerce, sales and marketing.

Prior to joining Zapak, Sharma had worked with Indiatimes for six years, where he was the overall Business Head for Indiatimes Mindscape. He was also National Sales Head for Advertising Sales and Events. Prior to that, he had worked with CyberMedia for two years as Manager with CIOL.com, the group’s IT portal, where he was responsible for advertising for the website and other new projects.
