Rediffusion Y&R in action mode; re-defines roles of Conrad Saldanha & Lokesh Tiwary

Rediffusion Y&R as a group has of late witnessed quiet a few announcements. The group has been introducing initiatives that have defied market scenarios and created a buzz – be it the news of an in-house design and digital team or the appointment of best talent across the board.

The latest development is that of Lokesh Tiwary taking over as CEO of Showdiff Worldwide, in addition to his charge of President, Rediffusion Y&R Public Relations. Meanwhile, Conrad Saldanha, the current CEO of Showdiff Worldwide, will move on to a newly-instituted corporate role.

In his new role, Saldanha, who will now look at the external affairs and communications for the Group companies, will work closely with Mahesh Chauhan, Group CEO, Rediffusion Y&R.

On the future plans, Saldanha explained, “It is now for Lokesh to decide on which direction he wants to go. We are now definitely looking at investing in better manpower. So, taking this plan forward, there will be some new announcements, especially in the Delhi market. Delhi has grown quite a lot of late, and thus, we are looking for more and better opportunities.”

He further said, “Rediffusion today is a young, dynamic and enthusiastic team with innovative ideas. I look forward to sharing the valuable insight into the Rediffusion Group acquired during my 25-plus years in the organisation with them.”

On the new appointments, Chauhan commented, “These are exciting times for Rediffusion as we are looking towards re-orienting and restructuring our businesses. Conrad, with his brilliant networking skills and in-depth understanding of the industry, is a perfect fit for external affairs. While Lokesh’s dual charge is in sync with our endeavour to provide a collaborative communication platform to our clients that will increasingly seek to utilise the synergies between public relations and activation. It is also a unique initiative that takes our specialist offering to a differentiated space in the industry.”

Speaking on his additional role, Tiwari said, “With ‘bang for the buck’ becoming increasingly important for clients in such tough times, clients are no longer looking for piece-meal solutions to their communication requirements. I am delighted to be playing a much larger role in bringing about this change and am confident that with the combined strength of Showdiff and Rediffusion Y&R Public Relations, we will be able to offer a much more enhanced product to our clients.”
