Rajiv Sangwan, Vice-President, Rediffusion DYR Public Relations, is moving to another assignment after almost one and a half years at the helm of Rediffusion’s PR division. Anupama Chopra, who is presently Associate Vice-President, will take over from Sangwan. She has been with the agency for over nine years and is based at the agency’s Delhi office.
Speaking to exchange4media, she said, “I have grown with the company and am proud to have been a part of its growth and many successes over the years. I am very happy to be taking over the responsibility.”
This is Sangwan’s second stint at Rediffusion PR, and is expected to come to and end in the next ‘one or two weeks’. He said, “Rediffusion is an agency which will always be very close to my heart. Cumulatively, I have spent close to five and a half years at Rediffusion.”
Sangwan was Regional Director of Vaishnavi Corporate Communications, before coming back to Rediffusion PR to take over from Supriyo Gupta in January 2004. He will now join as Head of Corporate Communications for Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. (HCCL), a private sector construction company focused on infrastructure building. The gross income for this company (established 1926) from operations was at Rs 1577 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005. HCCL might be looking at building a team in Corporate Communications soon, according to Sangwan.
