Rediff’s Naveen Luthra joins Times Business Solutions’ MagicBricks.com as Business Head

Naveen Luthra has joined Times Business Solutions, as Vice President and Business Head of MagicBricks.com, whereby he will be the overall in-charge for the brand, products and services of the real estate portal. Luthra’s previous assignment was to develop and grow business at Rediff Business Solutions, where he was Business Head and Associate Vice President.

At Rediff, Luthra looked after services like domain booking, corporate email and web hosting. He moves to Times Business Solutions after a three-year stint at Rediff.

Commenting on the appointment, R Sundar, President, Times Business Solutions, said, “As part of our vision and growth strategy, we are pleased to welcome Naveen onboard, a veteran of the Internet business. Naveen brings with him over a decade of rich and relevant experience in the online domain. We wish him all the best in his new role as Business Head of MagicBricks.com.”

The online property market is emerging and is at a nascent stage right now; I see tremendous growth potential in this segment. The challenge is not only to develop this segment, but also to consolidate MagicBricks.com’s leadership position within this space. With the leadership team’s strong background in managing the classifieds space, coupled with my experience in both offline and online arenas across industries, I am confident that we will be able to achieve desired results.”

Luthra has led the growth of Rediff’s business, and set up an exclusive offline ‘Rediff Business Associate Programme’ which made it stable and sustainable for the long run. His exposure to the Internet industry began early, with his first stint with Sify Ltd in November 1998, which he later rejoined as Regional Manager and led the team for setting up iWays, in states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa. During the interim period, he was also part of the team for setting up Reliance Webworld across Gujarat. He has also worked in consumer durables sector with IFB Industries, as well as agro-chemicals with the Lupin Group.
