Red FM brings Rajat Uppal on board

Red FM 93.5 announced the appointment of Rajat Uppal as General Manager – Marketing. In his new role, he will be responsible for strengthening the brand’s emotional connect with the listeners; he will also be driving all marketing initiatives of Red FM.

Explaining his new role at Red FM Uppal said, “In my new role, I would work to strengthen brand ‘Red’ across the Red FM network as a young and contemporary brand and will look at driving marketing initiatives, which have the brand attitude and innovation at its core.”

Uppal will report to Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP Projects and Programming, Red FM. “Rajat brings a very unique blend of multi-functional marketing expertise to our business. Thus with a mindset that merges into his intensive marketing experience will be of great value to our teams and client relationships,” commented Narayanan while welcoming him on board.

Prior to Red FM, Uppal did a stint with Fever FM as Deputy General Manager- Corporate Marketing. As part of his role at Fever, he was responsible for managing key national campaigns for trade and consumer audiences besides spearheading online, digital & new marketing innovations.

Uppal comes with close to 10 years of marketing experience across liquor and media conglomerates like UB Group, Radico Khaitan, and Big FM.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
