Ravi Menon to relocate to Mumbai; Vijay TV gets new head

After putting its sales and the content teams in place, STAR India has made some changes down south. Two months after his elevation as Senior Vice President-Content, STAR India, Ravi Menon is all set to relocate to Mumbai. According to informed sources, K Sriram, Vice-President-Sales, Vijay TV, will fill in Menon’s shoes and is set to head Vijay TV.

Meanwhile, Pradeep Milroy Peter, who was Associate Creative Director, Vijay TV, has been promoted as Programming Head.

According to sources, these changes are being made following Deepak Segal moving on to head Fox Television Studios India Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between Fox Studios and STAR Entertainment; and Shailja Kejriwal joining NDTV. Prior to joining NDTV, Kejriwal was heading two channels of STAR India as Senior Creative Director.

As Senior Vice President-Content, Ravi Menon was overseeing the programming strategy for Star Plus and the sister channel Star One. Besides, he also had the overall charge of Vijay TV.

Menon first joined STAR India in 2004 as Programming Head for Star One, following which he was shifted to the regional channel Vijay TV as GM in February 2006. Menon had quit Sony to join STAR in 2004.
