Rajesh Mehta, former General Manager, Marketing, Rasna, has moved to Pidilite Industries as Head of Marketing for the company's flagship brand Fevicol. He will be directly reporting to B O Mehta, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing.
Speaking to exchange4media, Mehta said that this development was a career move. “My new role includes strengthening the Fevicol brand, which accounts for more than 50 per cent of the company’s sales. I will be responsible for retaining the vibrancy of the brand and increase its sales”, he said.
In his six-year stint with Rasna, Mehta looked after the entire gamut of marketing activities. He started his career 15 years back with a steel company as a graduate engineer trainee, and was then transferred to the director’s office as executive assistant, where he worked for four years. From there he shifted to FMCG marketing with Tips and Toes Cosmetics, before moving to Rasna.
Following his exit two weeks back at Rasna, Aurobindo Mohanty, former branch head of Mudra Chennai, was roped in as VP-Marketing for Pioma Industries to handle the Rasna brand.
