Ramesh Srivats has put in his papers as Executive VP and Managing Partner at Rediffusion DYR Delhi. Srivats had been heading the agency’s Delhi operations since August 2006. He is setting up his own venture in the digital space.
Confirming the news, Srivats said, “I want to start my own venture in the digital space in the next two months. In a way the digital bug has bitten me and there are exciting opportunities in this space.”
Srivats had joined Rediffusion DYR in April 2004. He was earlier Executive Vice-President, South, managing the Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai offices. At Rediffusion DYR he was handling brands like ING Vysya, Bagpiper and Romanov.
Earlier, Srivats had spent a major bulk of his career with JWT from June 1992 to March 2004, where his last designation was Associate VP. At JWT, he had held various levels of responsibility and moved rapidly up the organisation.
During his 16 year career, Srivats has worked across a wide range of categories, including telecommunications, alcoholic beverages, carbonated soft drinks, tea, financial services, IT, office equipment, FMCG, real estate, insurance and banking. Some of the well-known clients that he has handled include Pepsi, Lays, Kurkure, Kingfisher, McDowell’s No. 1, Spice Telecom, Standard Chartered Credit Cards, Wipro Infotech and Taj Mahal Tea, among others.
