Rajiv Mishra joins Digital Broadcasting as Managing Director

Rajiv Mishra has joined Digital Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd as Managing Director. This moves comes after Mishra recently put in his papers at BAG Films where he was COO for Radio Dhamaal and Director, International School of Media and Entertainment Studies. At DBL, Mishra will look after the overall operations of the company in India and South Asia.

DBI is nine-year-old company jointly promoted by a group of NRIs, eAnimation Inc. and Digital Media Entertainment Inc. of USA. Mishra will be reporting to Thomas Newmann, Chairman of the Board, eAnimation Inc.

DBI develops TV/Animation software for the US market, prints technical periodicals and magazines, and provide solutions to IPTV, mobile TV, HDTV, DTH, DTT and convergence industry. DBI also runs International Academy of Retail Management (IARM) in collaboration with Global Retail Management Foundation, USA, and Krauszer’s, the chain of retail stores with over 4,000 outlets in the US and Germany.

Mishra had earlier worked with Reliance Infocomm, Star TV-DTH, and TV Asia of USA. He has worked at Hindustan Times as Sub-Editor for four years, at Star TV-DTH as Senior Manager-Programming for two years, TV Asia of USA as Vice President-Business Development, Yes TV as Executive Director and CEO for two years, and Reliance Infocomm Limited as General Manager-Broadband for four years.

Mishra did his Masters in Radio and Television Broadcasting from International Academy of Broadcasting (IAB), Montreux, Switzerland. He also holds a MBA degree in Media Management from Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY), and has done a Certificate Course in Multi-Media from University of California. At IAB, he had a Sony Scholarship of Japan and at MCNY, he had a Presidential Scholarship of USA.
