Rajesh Sheshadri, Head of Marketing, TV Today, is joining as Vice-President, Marketing, National Geographic Channel and History Channel. Confirming this to exchange4media, Sheshadri said he would be joining NGC by the middle of next month.
On his three-year stint with Aaj Tak and Headlines Today, Seshadri said, "It's been a good experience working with TV Today. Our task was primarily to consolidate Aaj Tak and boost Headlines Today. So it was challenging and exciting."
Sheshadri said that the challenges in NGC and History were very different in nature, which is what really led him to join the channel. "The genre is very different. I believe that this has worked out as a great opportunity and is an interesting platform for me," he said.
Recently, Charath Narsimhan had moved out of History Channel to join Raymond's. Narsimhan was looking after the marketing operations as VP. Sheshadri will now take charge of the channel's marketing operations.
