Rajesh Mehta, Head of Marketing with Fevicol, puts in his papers

Rajesh Mehta, Marketing Head of Pidilite Industries’ flagship brand, Fevicol, has quit. He had joined the company in July 2005. Mehta’s next destination is not known, though he is said to be evaluating certain options. He is likely to take a decision in this regard by the end of this month or early next month.

Prior to joining Pidilite Industries, Mehta was with Rasna, where he was General Manager, Marketing. He was with the company for six years. Mehta began his career with a steel company called Mukand Ltd, where he had spent around four years. The last designation he had held there was that of Executive Assistant to the Director. After that he moved to Tips and Toes Cosmetics and worked there for four years. Mehta was Marketing Manager when he left the company.

Commenting on the latest development, Mehta said, “I was not contemplating a career move at this point of time, but an interesting opportunity has come about. After thinking for a long time, I finally took a call to move on.”

He termed his stint with Pidilite Industries as a ‘pretty satisfying’ one. “I enjoyed every bit of it. I could contribute in giving an overall strategic direction to the brand, increased sales, and contributed towards new product launches,” Mehta added.
